The Emerald Comb by Kathleen McGurl

Katie is happily married with children and likes nothing more than tracing her ancestors in her spare time. When by chance an ancestors home comes up for sale, she persuades her husband to buy it.

As the story swaps from an ancestor’s letter confessing to a crime to Katie’s family settling into their new home, a mystery is solved and a ghost laid to rest, but who is the victim of the crime and where are the remains?

An enjoyable read despite the topic.
